Field Competitions Overview

The Australian Air League Review is undoubtedly the pinnacle of all competitions conducted within the League. The field competitions which incorporates physical activities provides the ideal opportunity for every member to participate as an individual and / or as an integral part of a unit at the highest and most prestigious level of competition our organisation can provide.

When entering any of the field competitions set out in the following pages of this Digest, all individuals, units and where appropriate their equipment must comply with the relevant sections of the Australian Air League Manual and Instructions. Each competition has specific conditions of entry and operation set out in this Digest which must also be complied with. Once you have entered a particular competition you may withdraw from it any time prior to the Review by notifying your Group Field Commissioner.

You may also withdraw from a competition on the morning of the Review by notifying the Chief or Assistant Chief Competition Marshalls. However, do not withdraw unless you have a valid reason. Neither should you enter a competition unless you have a reasonable expectation of actually competing.

To compete effectively at AAL Reviews requires a determined and sustained commitment to train for your chosen competitions. You and your unit can be the best in the Air League. It’s up to you. I wish you and your unit every success.
