Solo Drum and Bugler Competitions
Members may enter the Solo Drummer and / or the Solo Bugler competitions in
accordance with each age group. Name and rank of competitors must also be
entered on the entry form. Each drummer will be required to play a two 3-beat roll
introduction then play tune No.20 titled ‘Bugle March No.12 Platburg' in
accordance with Section 20 of the Australian Air League Manual. The competitor
shall then on instruction from the Judge commence to play their own free choice
piece. General Salute or Last Post must not be played as the free choice piece.
Each bugler will be required to sound tune No. 20 ‘Bugle March No.12 Platburg' in
accordance with the Australian Air League Manual plus their own free choice
piece. General Salute or Last Post must not be sounded as the free choice piece.
