How to enter Competitions

 

Listed below are all the competitions available to be entered by individuals or units. Full details of each competition and conditions of entry can be found on other pages or within the Digest. All you have to do is select the competitions you or your unit wish to enter from the Digest. Properly complete the green entry form for the field competitions and the blue entry form for the education competitions. These entry forms are stapled to the inside back cover of the Digest.

When you have properly completed these entry forms, forward the Field Competition entry form to your respective Group Field Commissioner and forward the Education entry form to your respective Group Education Commissioner. Competition entry forms must reach your respective Group Commissioner on or before Saturday 5 August 2006. Group Field and Education Commissioners will check and forward the entry forms to the Federal Field and Education Commissioners respectively on or before Saturday 19 August 2006.

Note: All entries must comply with the conditions of entry for the relevant competition set out in the Digest. Further, each entry must comply with the Australian Air League Manual, relevant Instructions, Circulars and Standing Orders.

 

The list of competitions are as follows:

 

Individual Competitions:

Solo Drum and Bugle - Age groups apply

Drum Major - Conducted in conjunction with band competitions

Model Aircraft - Plastic, Balsa, Chuck and Built-ups. Age groups apply

Education Essay - Age groups apply

Education Examination - To be nominated by Group Education Commissioners. Age groups apply

Diorama Competitions – Age groups apply

Squadron Competitions:Education Display; Squadron Section Drill; Junior Section Drill; Flag Party Drill; Flight Drill; Physical Activities; Band Competition. Conditions apply

On The March Competitions: Squadron on the March; Flight on the March; Flag Party on the March. Conditions apply.

Wing Competitions: Wing Section Drill; Band Competition; Wing on the March. Conditions apply.

Group Competitions: Beat the Buzzer (age groups apply); Ball Games; Group on the March; Officer Section Drill, Air Activities. Conditions apply.
