Australian Air League Review – Sydney, New South Wales – 30 September 2018
The 2018 Australian Air League Review is scheduled to be held in Sydney, New South Wales on Sunday, 30 September 2018. Members should note that the Review will be held on a Sunday, and not Saturday as per recent reviews.
Units will be advised of the actual venue as soon as this is finalised.
Field Competitions will be held as follows:
All diagrams will be No 8. Diagrams for each competition can be found by clicking on the respective links.
- Squadron Section Drill
- Junior Section Drill
- Wing Section Drill
- Officer Section Drill (open to Groups only)
- Flag Party Drill
- Flight Drill
- Band Drill
With the exception of Squadron Section Drill, where units do not have sufficient numbers to compete in their own right, units may combine from the same State/Group to compete. Full eligibility details will be provided in the 2018 Australian Air League Review Digest to be issued in due course.
Band and Solo Music Competitions:
The compulsory tune for music competitions and band drill is Tune No 21 – Bugle March 4, as per Australian Air League Manual Section 20, Paragraph 51.12.
Solo music competitions will be held for Snare Drum, Tenor Drum and Bugle in the following age categories:
- 8 – 11 years
- 12 – 15 years
- 16 – 17 years
- 18 years and over
Ball Games for the 2018 Australian Air League Review are:
- First Game Game No. 1 Tunnel Ball (medicine ball)
- Second Game Game No. 2 Run and Throw Back Relay (basketball)
- Third Game Game No. 3 Bounce Relay (basketball)
Separate competitions will be held for male and female.
Only one entry per State/Group per gender category will be allowed.
